Noyes Community Recreation Center
West Campus Residential Initiative
The new Noyes Community Recreation Center (NCRC) is an integral part of the West Campus Residential Initiative. For the first time ever, students living on and near West Campus will have a dedicated indoor recreation center, which will replace the current Noyes Community Center. It is scheduled to open in January 2007.

NCRC will contain a regulation basketball court, a multipurpose room with a sport floor, a game room, a bouldering wall, a fitness center, a convenience store, a conference room, and two lounges. The basketball court and multipurpose room are designed to accommodate late night events, as well as open recreation. The fitness center, approximately the size of the Helen Newman Fitness Center, will have state-of-the-art equipment, a series of televisions, and wonderful views to the south.

Adjacent to NCRC will be an outdoor basketball court in an amphitheater setting. This also will be used for special events by all of the West Campus community.

NCRC is named in honor of the Noyes family and its five generation of Cornellians. To this day, they are continuing the family tradition of loyalty and commitment to Cornell University and especially to the undergraduate experience.
